Councillor Dr Girdler resigned as Vice Chairman and from the Parish Council in March.
The council would like to thank Dr Girdler for his service on the PC and to the parish.
Of particular note was his commitment to gaining grant funding for the supply and planting of trees and shrubs in the Magdalen Wild Wood from the Woodland Trust and the Million Trees initiatives and seeing the project through to successful completion.
During his time on the Parish Council Dr Girdler was also a trustee of the Magdalen Village Hall charitable trust management committee and obtained similar funding in that role for the supply and planting of trees and shrubs on part of the village playing field which has also been completed recently.
